Being an African American woman myself, there was NO WAY I was just going to let February slide by without doing something special for Black History. I didn't want to just give my students worksheets or read them a book about an important African American figure in history. I wanted to do more. I wanted it to be meaningful and engaging... something my students would remember for years to come. This skit was the main attraction that got all my families, for 3 straight years, excited to see their child preform. I was so proud of my students that day!!!
